						<link>http://www.rkw-group.com/nc/news-media/news-press/details/news/rkw-names-vice-president-of-global-hygiene-and-medical-operations.html</link>
						<description>RKW has appointed Dr. Manfred Bracher as vice president of its global business area hygiene and medical. Dr. Bracher took up his position on April 1, 2013, taking over the role from Roland Roth, CEO of the RKW Group, who continues to head up the global organisation.
Dr. Bracher has more than 20 years experience in the international plastics industry and an excellent reputation in the hygiene and medical sector. Tasked with leading the GBA Hygiene &amp;amp; Medical, Dr. Bracher says, “I am happy to have the opportunity to contribute with my experience in the plastic films sector to an industry leader such as RKW, and to supporting our customers in the future growth of the hygiene and medical business globally.”
In response to the strategic growth plan of RKW, Bracher says, “Building on the success of RKW and achieving the future growth goals is a challenge that excites me personally. I am confident that, together with my team, we will not only achieve our targets, but also bring RKW to the leading position in the global hygiene films and nonwovens market.&amp;quot;
The RKW Group

						<title>Successful participation of RKW in SIMA-SIMAGENA 2013</title>
						<link>http://www.rkw-group.com/nc/news-media/news-press/details/news/successful-participation-of-rkw-in-sima-simagena-2013-1.html</link>
						<description>The Global Business Area RKW ProAgri® of the RKW Group has successfully participated in SIMA-SIMAGENA 2013 with its own stand. This important agricultural trade fair is held every two years at an exhibition center north of Paris, the French capital. This year’s SIMA-SIMAGENA took place from February 24 to 28, 2013. With 248,800 trade visitors, including about a quarter from abroad, and nearly 1,700 exhibitors, the anniversary fair – it was held for the 75th time – achieved record attendance levels.
At SIMA-SIMAGENA 2013, RKW ProAgri® presented its extensive range of high-quality films and round bale net solutions for the agricultural sector and was able to convincingly show itself as an innovation driver. The main attraction of the trade fair stand was the silage film product Polydress® O2 Barrier 2in1, which proved to be a highly sought-after trade fair innovation – as was the case recently at Euro Tier 2012. At the world’s top event for livestock farming professionals in Hannover last November, the new film combination won the silver medal for new products from DLG.
There are good reasons for the positive resonance to the new film by RKW ProAgri®. Polydress® O2 Barrier 2in1 is the world’s first combination of a polyethylene silage film with a polyamide underlay film and an oxygen barrier improved by a factor of 6 to 10. It simplifies the process of covering silage, as it is placed on the silage material in just a single work step. Currently, it is still common in agricultural practice to use two steps. Furthermore, the improved oxygen barrier, reduced fermentation losses, and minimal mold formation lead to improved silage quality. The film also offers additional advantages for transport and storage.
The high expectations that RKW ProAgri® had placed in the trade fair were fully met. Numerous qualified trade fair discussions documented the large interest of trade visitors in the company’s products.
