In 1957, Jakob Müller founded the RKW Group as Rheinische Kunststoffwerke GmbH in Worms, Germany. The company, which is privately owned, has  through numerous strategic acquisitions since the 90's evolved into one of the leading companies in Europe for the manufacturing of films and nonwovens.
