Awards

Thanks to the constant transfer of know-how between all members of the RKW Group and the close contact with our customers, we have been able to develop many innovative products and constantly improve the technologies over the past years.

The RKW Group has obtained numerous awards for their innovative products:

  • 2012

    Flexostar Gold and Superflexostar

    RKW Saint Frères Emballage (SFE), France was awarded two Flexostars. Together with the print-plate manufacturer Médialliance, RKW won its third Flexostar Gold for the print design “Oranjeboom". The plant also won its first Superflexostar for the same design.

     

    Flexostar Bronze

    The French plant, RKW Castelletta was awarded a Bronze Flexostar for the second time for the Evian design US Open.

     

    P&G Business Partner Excellence Award

    For the fourth time, the RKW Group won an “Excellence Award” from Procter & Gamble, indicating that it is one of the American Group’s best global suppliers.



     

    EFIA Award Gold and Silver

    On March 21, the Finnish plant Rosenlew RKW Finland received two awards. Together with its repro-printing operation Sato-Flexo, the location got the Gold and Silver award for the outstanding print quality of the motif "Baltika 7" from the European Flexographic Industrial Association (EFIA).

  • 2011

    MRN-Innovation Prize

    The two researchers Dr. Jan P. Eubeler and Dr. Holger Eggers of the RWK Group have won the Special Award of the MRN Innovation Prize of the Rhine-Neckar Metropolitan Region Foundation, for the material innovation POLYDRESS® O2 BARRIER 2IN1. POLYDRESS® O2 BARRIER 2IN1, an innovative silage film for agriculture, uses just half the raw materials in production as compared to conventional silage films, provides labor-saving enhancements to farmers and leads to a high level of silage quality with lower silage losses.

    Silver Flexostar

    The French subsidiary RKW Saint Frères Emballage was awarded the Silver Flexostar by the ATF (Association Technique de la Flexographie). The association conferred the award to RKW SFE in the category of “Polyethylene and Polypropylene Films for Beverage Packaging”.

       
  • 2010

    P&G Supplier of Excellence Award

    For the third time in a row, the RKW Group was granted the “Supplier of Excellence Award 2010” by their customer Procter & Gamble. Among about 80,000 suppliers of the branded manufacturer, RKW is the only film producer to be awarded the prestigious prize.

    Dairy Innovation Award

    The Dairy Foundation and the Food Bev Media Group conferred a prize to the RKW Group together with the C.E. Schweig packaging consulting company for their yoghurt packaging made of FPO® material (filled polyolefins) in the category of “Best  Packaging Innovation”.

    Ontex Supplier of the Year

    For the first time, the RKW Group was “Supplier of the Year” of their customer Ontex. RKW is an important provider of film raw materials, supplying both back-sheet films and top-sheet films to many Ontex subsidiaries in Europe and beyond.

    Golden FlexoStar

    After 2006, ATF (Association Technique de la Flexographie), the French association for flexoprinting, awarded the French subsidiary RKW Saint Frères Emballage (SFE) with the Golden FlexoStar for the excellent quality of their print design “Vittel Disney” for the second time.

    Bronze FlexoStar 

    The French subsidiary RKW Castelletta was awarded the Bronze FlexoStar by the ATF for their excellent print design “Danone Waters”.

    Grand Prix Cyrel

    At the Grand Prix Cyrel, RKW Castelletta placed third with their print design “Isostar”. 

  • 2009

    P&G Supplier of the Year

    Procter & Gample conferred their “Supplier of Excellence Award” to the RKW Group for the second time. Thus, RKW counts among the best suppliers of the American branded group all over the world.

    FlexoStar “Merite”

    The French association for flexoprinting, ATF, awarded the FlexoStar “Merite” to RKW Saint Frères Emballage (SFE) for the high 8-color print quality of their print design “Vittel Disney”.

  • 2008

    P&G Supplier of Excellence Award

    Procter & Gample conferred the “Supplier of Excellence Award” to the RKW Group. 2008, this award was conferred for the first time and RKW obtained one of the seven Supplier of Excellence Awards bestowed. 

    Bronze FlexoStar

    After 2007, ATF (Association Technique de la Flexographie), the French association for flexoprinting, awarded the French subsidiary RKW Saint Frères Emballage (SFE) the Bronze FlexoStar for the excellent quality of their print design “Coca Cola Noel” for the second time. 

    Flexostar “Prouesse technique” 

    The French subsidiary RKW Castelletta obtained an award by the French association for flexoprinting, ATF, as well. For the backside barcode printing of a Volvic campaign design, the subsidiary was awarded the FlexoStar “Prouesse technique”.

  • 2007

    Even two French RKW subsidiaries were awarded a prize by the French association for flexoprinting, ATF (Association Technique de la Flexographie), for their excellent print quality:

    Bronze FlexoStar

    The French subsidiary RKW Saint Frères Emballage (SFE) was awarded the Bronze FlexoStar for their print design “Coca Cola”.

    Golden FlexoStar

    The French association for flexoprinting, ATF (Association Technique de la Flexographie), awarded the French subsidiary RKW Saint Frères Emballage (SFE) the Golden FlexoStar for the excellent quality of their print design “Riqles”.
